Zimbabwean/ Rhodesian Teak – This is a hard African hardwood imported from sub Saharan Africa predominantly Zimbabwe and Zambia. This is ideal for installation in high temperature, low humidity regions like Gauteng and its surrounding areas. Our teak is dried to below 12% moisture content which makes it very stable. Grappa/ Balau – These are tropical timbers mostly suitable for the coastal areas but are also used in the Northern warm regions of the country. These are the ideal timber species for those that want the natural grey rustic look within a short space of time. When treated with our special TRS 250 oil, the timber will age natural and turn a greyish color in no time.
